Asmita & Associates is a chartered accounting firm based in the UK, providing accounting services, e.g., accounts preparation, tax consultancy, payroll bureau, bookkeeping etc to a diverse client base. Our operations are conducted primarily in the UK, with suppliers and business partners mainly in low-risk regions for modern slavery.
Training and Awareness
We provide training to our staff to help them identify and report signs of modern slavery. Awareness is raised across our organization about the importance of this issue and the role we play in combating it.
Policies in Relation to Modern Slavery
We have established the following policies to safeguard against modern slavery within our business and supply chains:
• Supplier Code of Conduct: All suppliers must adhere to ethical labour practices and comply with anti-slavery laws.
• Whistleblowing Policy: Employees and stakeholders are encouraged to report any concerns about unethical practices, including modern slavery.
• Employee Code of Conduct: Ensuring all employees understand their rights and our commitment to fair labour practices
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We assess the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain by:
• Evaluating the nature and location of our suppliers.
• Reviewing contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with modern slavery laws.
• Conducting regular audits and requesting evidence of compliance where applicable.
